Assessment

Under review: Summative and Formative Assessment

Teachers observe their students during learning time, noting changes in what/how students are learning, so they can adjust their practice and/or programmes to better match individual learning needs.

We collect information in reading, writing, vocabulary development and mathematics/statistics, so that we can review progress achievement across the School and respond meaningfully to student needs.  We need and appreciate your support with your child’s learning development.  We welcome your questions about your child’s progress.

Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences:

  • In Term Two, we hui with you and your child to discuss their learning progress and achievements
  • Your child’s Mid-Year Student Report is discussed at these important koorero sessions

Student Achievement Reports:

  • Your child receives a formal Student Achievement Report twice a year, in Term 2 (Mid-Year) and Term 4 (End-of-Year)
